Donderdagavond 28 december. Reeds voor de elfde keer verkocht Willem de Bruijn een ronde jonge duiven in Thorn via De Duif. Na een stevig avondmaal in het restaurant van zaal Aod Thoear wensen de nog aanwezigen elkaar voor de elfde keer proficiat met een geweldig resultaat.
En toch, toch is het deze keer anders. Hoeveel superlatieven we ook gebruiken, we komen woorden tekort. Eén ding is duidelijk: Willem is hot! Niet alleen door de fantastische resultaten op eigen hok, ook door de enorme prestaties van (nakomelingen van) zijn duiven elders.
Het resultaat van de veiling dit jaar was dan ook verbluffend. De 77 jonge duiven werden verkocht voor € 1.677.480,- ofwel een gemiddelde van € 21.785 per duif.
Het overgrote deel duiven ging naar China, maar er werden er ook verkocht naar Engeland, Qatar, Japan, Nederland en België.
We willen Willem de Bruijn van harte proficiat wensen met dit onvoorstelbare resultaat, en wensen de kopers heel veel succes met hun nieuwe aanwinst(en)!
Thursday evening, 28th of December. Already for the 11th time Willem de Bruijn auctioned a round of young birds via De Duif. After a hearty meal in the restaurant of "Aod Thoear" in Thorn (Netherlands) those still present congratulate eachother with the great results.
Yet... yet it's different this time. No matter how many superlatives we use, we are short of words. One thing is absolutely clear: Willem is hot! Not only because of the fantastic results at his own loft, als bcause of the fantastic performances of (the offspring of) his birds at other lofts around the world.
And the result of the auction was astonishing. The 77 young birds were auctioned for a total of € 1,677,480 or an average of € 21,785 per pigeon.
Most of the pigeons were sold to China, but also to England, Qatar, Japan, the Netherlands and Belgium.
We would like to congratulate Willem de Bruijn with this amazing result, and wish all the buyers the best of luck with their newly acquired pigeons!
